Create a keychain with eyelet
Use the series mesh type to generate a 3D keychain.
First create a new series mesh type. Using a series mesh type you can define a series of 2d surfaces that are extruded in order.
In the newly created series, double-click the image of "Plane 1" to open the 2D shape editor.
First delete the default square added by selecting it and pressing the delete key. Next add a new SVG item using the Add SVG popup.
The added SVG item is now shown on the editor surface.
Now add a circle to use as the keychain eyelet.
Activate snap to grid in the top right corner of menu bar options. It will toggle red when snap to grid mode is active.
Drag and move the circle so it overlaps the top leaf of the SVG shape.
Use the Boolean Difference operation to subtract the circle from the SVG leaf shape. To subtract shapes:
First select the shape to subtract from. Then click the Boolean Ops: Difference button. Next select the shape to use for subtraction. Then click the Boolean Ops: Difference button again to perform the action.
After the subtraction is performed, you can select the circle shape used for subtraction and delete it. After that you'll have your keyshape shape.
Then navigate back to the series editor page and click "Run Series". This will create a 3D model from the shape you created in the editor.
